Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how EasyFasting handles your data, and — because intermittent fasting affects your health — also explains who should not use the app and what you should consider before starting a fasting routine. Please read both the data sections and the health sections carefully.
1. Who We Are
EasyFasting is an intermittent fasting tracker for iOS, operated by Hayk Mnatsakanyan, based in Poland. References to "we", "our", or "EasyFasting" in this policy refer to the developer of the EasyFasting iOS application and the website at easyfasting.net (collectively, "the Service"). You can reach us at mnatsakanyanhayk@gmail.com for any privacy-related question, including data subject requests.
2. Important Health Disclaimer
EasyFasting is a self-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, not a medical service, and not a substitute for professional medical advice. The app, its content, and any guidance it provides are intended to support general wellness only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Intermittent fasting may be unsafe for certain people. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting, changing, or stopping any fasting routine, particularly if you have an underlying medical condition or take medication. By using EasyFasting, you acknowledge that you are responsible for decisions about your own health, and that the developer accepts no liability for outcomes arising from your fasting choices.
3. Who Should Not Use This App
EasyFasting is designed for healthy adults aged 18 and over. Do not use this app, and consult a doctor first, if any of the following apply to you:
- You are pregnant, may be pregnant, or breastfeeding.
- You have a history of an eating disorder — including anorexia, bulimia, or binge eating disorder — or you are currently in recovery from one.
- You have diabetes (Type 1 or Type 2) or take medication that affects blood sugar.
- You have a history of hypoglycemia, low blood pressure, or fainting.
- You take prescription medication that must be taken with food.
- You are under 18 years old.
- You have any chronic medical condition, including kidney, liver, heart, or thyroid disease.
If you experience dizziness, weakness, confusion, fainting, persistent hunger that disrupts your daily life, or any troubling change in your relationship with food while using EasyFasting, stop fasting and seek medical advice immediately. If you or someone you know is struggling with disordered eating, please contact a qualified mental-health professional or a national eating disorder helpline.
4. What Data We Collect
We try to collect as little personal data as possible. The data we do collect falls into three categories:
a. Data you choose to provide inside the app
- Your fasting schedule (for example, 16:8 or a custom window) and fast history.
- Optional inputs such as weight, fasting goals, mood, and personal notes.
- Your in-app preferences (units, notification preferences, language, theme).
This data is stored locally on your device. If you sign in to iCloud, it may also be synced to your personal iCloud account, which is controlled by Apple and inaccessible to us.
b. Data collected automatically
- Anonymous usage analytics (which screens are visited, which features are used) via Google Analytics 4. IP addresses are anonymized.
- Crash reports and basic device information (iOS version, device model) used to fix bugs.
- Subscription status (active, trial, expired) via RevenueCat, used to deliver the features you paid for.
c. What we do not collect
- We do not integrate with Apple HealthKit. We do not read or write heart rate, steps, sleep, weight, or any other HealthKit data.
- We do not access biometric data from any connected device.
- We do not show advertisements and do not use any advertising network or tracker.
- We do not sell, share, or trade your personal data with anyone for marketing purposes — ever.
5. How We Use Your Data
We use the data described above only to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the EasyFasting app and website.
- Diagnose and fix crashes and bugs.
- Understand which features are useful so we can prioritise development.
- Verify your subscription status and process upgrades, downgrades, and renewals through Apple.
- Comply with legal obligations where applicable.
We do not profile users for advertising purposes, and we do not make automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
6. Third Parties We Use
We rely on a small set of trusted third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:
- Apple Inc. — App Store distribution, in-app purchases, and (if enabled by you) iCloud sync. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat, Inc. — manages subscription state. We never see your payment card; Apple handles all transactions. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Google LLC (Firebase / Google Analytics 4) — anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel Inc. — hosts easyfasting.net. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
7. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases of Article 6 of the GDPR:
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — to provide the app and your subscription.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to keep the app stable, secure, and improving, in a way you would reasonably expect.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — where required, for example for optional analytics in jurisdictions that require explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — where we must process data to comply with applicable law.
8. Your Rights
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or another jurisdiction that grants equivalent rights, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR).
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16).
- Request erasure of your data (Art. 17).
- Request restriction of processing (Art. 18).
- Receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20).
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21).
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Poland, this is the Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO).
To exercise any of these rights, email mnatsakanyanhayk@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you similar rights. The same email address handles those requests. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes set out in this policy:
- Data you enter into the app remains on your device until you delete the app or clear its data. iCloud copies, if any, follow your iCloud settings.
- Subscription records are retained for a maximum of three years from your most recent interaction, or longer if required by tax or accounting law.
- Anonymous analytics are retained for up to 14 months in Google Analytics 4 and then deleted automatically.
- Crash reports are retained for up to 90 days.
When you ask us to delete your data, we delete it from systems under our control within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.
10. International Data Transfers
Some of our third-party processors — including Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and Vercel — store or process data on servers located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Article 46(2)(c) GDPR), the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable, and additional safeguards required by the relevant processor's data processing terms.
11. Children
EasyFasting is not intended for or directed at people under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us at mnatsakanyanhayk@gmail.com and we will delete it.
12. Security
Data you enter is stored on your device using iOS's built-in protections, including Apple Keychain for sensitive values and the platform's data protection APIs. Network traffic between the app, our website, and our processors is encrypted in transit (TLS). No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data using the safeguards that Apple, Google, and our other processors provide.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, if the changes are material, we will notify you through the app or by another reasonable means before the changes take effect.
14. Contact
